Vicopisano is a lovely village that preserves a Medieval past thanks to the many towers we will see strolling in the alleys to get to the top of the hill. At the top, there’s the Brunelleschi fortress as well as a wonderful view of the surrounding Tuscan countryside.

The splendid parish church of Vicopisano inside preserves a unique group of sculptures that represent the Deposition of Jesus, from the 13th Century.

After the village, we can take a little walk to discover other parish churches hidden at the foot of the Verruca mountain.

The tour can be combined with an excellent olive oil tasting which includes the visit to one of the oldest mills in the area. Contact us for more information.

The guided tour to the fortress can only be arranged with the municipality of Vicopisano

Opening times: variable, every weekend from March 25th to November 30th until the end of November.

  • Saturday: from 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday: from 10 a.m. to 12.30 a.m and from 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cost of olive oil tasting: to be agreed with the company when you book the tour.

  • Gruppi fino a 10 persone: € 140,00
  • Gruppi da 11 a 25 persone: € 130,00 + € 2,00 ogni persona in più.
  • Per gruppi oltre le 45 persone si consiglia di richiedere una seconda guida.

  • Palazzo Pretorio entrance fee: € 2,00

PAYMENT CONDITIONS AND CANCELATION POLICY

Payment: directly to the guide or advanced by bank transfer following invoice. ** In case of payment by bank transfers from countries outside of the European Community, the bank charges will also be added to the invoice.

Cancellation Policy: In case of cancellation within 48 hours before the service or a no-show, the basic rate for groups up to 25 people will be applied.

Supplement:

  • Double language supplement: € 40,00
  • Evening supplement (after 8 p.m.): € 40,00
  • Extra hour (duration of one HD guided tour is up to 3 hours): € 50,00

Info

  • Guide tours exempt form VAT (Art. 10, n. 22, Decree 633/72)
  • Tickets or paid entrances are not included in the fee
  • For groups of over 15 people, we suggest booking for headset support (we can do it for you)
  • The ‘Half-Day guided tour’ lasts up to three non-divisible hours

Delay

In case of delay, the tour leader is required to notify us; otherwise, if the group doesn’t arrive within one hour, the tour will be considered a no-show.
