Tra la fine del Settecento e l’inizio del Novecento molti artisti europei, attratti dal clima mite e dal fascino dolce e malinconico dei lungarni, si recarono a Pisa.

Dei loro soggiorni hanno lasciato ricordi e testimonianze di questa città simbolo del romanticismo, oscillante tra un passato leggendario e un presente ricco di memoria, seppur lontano da tanto splendore. Ripercorrendo le loro tracce, passeggeremo dalla “Piazza dei Miracoli” per strade e lungarni con gli occhi di Shelley, Browning, Giusti, Leopardi, D’Annunzio… Lettura di poesie e una pausa al caffè storico letterario lungo la passeggiata.

Between the late 18th and early 20th century many European artists, attracted by the mild climate and its charming presentation, came to visit Pisa.

Their stays have left memories and testimonies of this city, a symbol of romance, oscillating between a legendary past and a present full proud memories.

We will rediscover the city walking from the “Miracles Square” via the roads and riverside through the eyes of Shelley, Browning, Giusti,

Leopardi and D’Annunzio…We will stop for a coffee break at one of the historic cafes*.
